BEATTY CPA LLC was formed by Arthur (Art) E. Beatty. Art initially began the firm as a sole proprietor in 2001. The Firm has experienced much change in 2013--the practice moved to its current location in Katy, TX , the name changed to BEATTY CPA LLC, and Dawn M. Beatty joined the Firm.
BEATTY CPA LLC is a results oriented firm with a combined practice of over 40 years of experience in Tax, Accounting, Finance, and Project Management. ARTHUR E. BEATTY, CPA--Managing Member
Art graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 1985 with a BBA in Finance. He received his MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2005. He is approved to teach various accounting courses at U of H, University of Phoenix, and HCC. He is involved with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program and teaches the Money & Metrics and Being Bankable Modules.
Art has worked for three of the Big 4 accounting firms and was a tax director for two public companies. He has a wide variety of domestic and international tax and accounting experience which allows him to provide deep technical expertise to his client base and work with his clients to assist them in meeting their goals. Client industries include publishing, distributing, service, construction and development, and airline.
DAWN M. BEATTY, CPA--Managing Member
Dawn graduated from Texas A & M University in 1985 with a BBA in Finance.
Dawn has worked for two of the Big 4 accounting firms, a top five firm, and a large local Houston firm. Her concentration includes compliance and consulting needs of business entities and executives. A significant portion of her clients have international transactions. Client industries include distribution, manufacturing, retail, and service.
The Beatty family are active members of their church, Houston's First Baptist. Art's favorite Bible verse is “Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5,6. Dawn's favorite Bible verse is "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13
Art and Dawn enjoy most outdoor activities--camping, hiking, hunting, skiing, canoeing, and sailing. We also have a passion for college football and are a house divided (Alabama/TAMU). Art and Dawn are the proud parents of two Eagle Scouts, Ryan and Christopher.
MIFFLIN DOVE, JR.--Director
Mifflin graduated from Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi with a BBA in Accounting in 1989. With that degree, he worked in a number of public and private accounting functions. He earned his Master in Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia in 1995. He was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church and served as a pastor in four congregations over a span of 17 years. Additionally, he is trained as a mediator in the State of Texas. He has practiced mediation and arbitration for clients, helping them settle civil cases out of court. He also served as a volunteer mediator and arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau of Greater Houston where he helped settle numerous cases between consumers and businesses. His varied work experience in public and private accounting, ministry, and mediation and arbitration bring a unique skillset to the Accounting function.
Mifflin and his wife Tonia are active members of Bear Creek Baptist Church in Katy. Mifflin's favorite Bible verse is "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:23-24
Mifflin enjoys bike riding, reading, target shooting, genealogy, photography and playing the acoustic guitar. He is a member of the Texas A&M Association of Former Students and is a die hard Aggie fan. He is the father of two (a boy, Nicholas and a girl, Kaylee) and he is also the stepfather of two girls, Ashley and Katelyn Rogers.
